General Election Day
Standing For Truth Foundation believes that there are core issues and areas that need to be considered in choosing a candidate.
For instance, where does he stand on life, marriage, Israel, immigration and conservative judges? What kind of judges will he elect to the Supreme Court if he was president?
Is your candidate Pro-Life?
He has to be willing to make abortion illegal in America and overturn Roe v. Wade knowing that life is at conception.
Is your candidate Pro-Traditional Marriage?
Supports marriage between one man and one women. Is willing to establish a Federal Marriage Amendment, at the very least at the state level.
Is your candidate Pro-Israel?
He has to support Israel and be willing to honor our commitment to defend the nation of Israel and always be her ally.
Is your candidate Pro-Immigration?
We need candidates that are willing to tackle the issue in a comprehensive way during their first term in office. Not just enforcement only measures. But look objectively at ways to truly fix our broken immigration system. He cannot just look at border security or enforcement measures only, but will also look at family reunification and consider a guest worker program and a way to deal justly and realistically, after meeting certain criteria, with the 12 million undocumented that are already here.
Is your candidate Pro-Conservative Judges?
We need a candidate to appoint conservative constructionist judges who will not legislate from the bench.
With the possibilities of more seats opening up in the Supreme Court in the near future, this is going to be very important. The next president could very well have the opportunity to put another conservative judge in the highest court of the land. We will either get more conservative or more liberal. With the right judges in those seats we can someday overturn Roe v. Wade.
Is there other issues to consider?
Are these the only issues we need to consider? No. (Education, Healthcare, Economy, Energy, War on Terrorism, Poverty, AIDS and the list goes on can also be considered.) But in remaining true to our Judeo Christian value system based on scripture at SFT we believe these core issues always have to be a consideration in thinking about a candidate, especially Life and Marriage. God will hold us accountable for our vote. We need to do our best to choose candidates with biblical standards in their political and party platforms.
Let’s make sure we inform ourselves and vote responsibly this election year.
Together, we will elect the kind of leaders God would want for our nation.
